IMG_3966 Have you heard of Shakeology?

MY LATEST ADDICTION!! If you’ve ever done a BeachBody workout (insanity, p90x, T-25, TurboFire), you’ve probably heard of it. I’ve known about it for over 5 years now. This meal replacement shake makes some lofty claims including giving you more energy, curbing cravings, helps you lose weight, and stay regular. It all sounds great, but could it be true? All that in a protein shake?

Well after all these years of wondering, I finally gave it a try about a month ago. It’s safe to say I’m ADDICTED! My sweet cravings are WAY down and I have a lot more energy throughout the day. It’s true! Not only that, but it TASTES AMAZING. I have tried many a protein shake and lets be honest, they taste like a protein shake lol. Shakeology tastes like a MILKSHAKE. Seriously.

Another thing I learned… shakeology is NOT just a protein shake. It is a superfood meal replacement. It’s packed with vitamins and minerals, digestive enzymes, probiotcs, and super foods from around the globe. This short video explains even more.

Here are some of my favorite absolutely delicious Shakeo recipes:

PB & J Milkshake: Vanilla Shakeology + 1/2 cup (or 1 cup) Red Grapes + 2 tsp (or more) Peanut Butter + 1 cup unsweet vanilla almond milk + ice & Blend.

Apple Pie Milkshake: Vanilla Shakeology (also good with Strawberry Shakeology) + 1/2 cup Applesauce + 1/4 cup oats (optional) + 1 tsp cinnamon + unsweet almond milk + ice & Blend.

PB MILKSHAKE: Vanilla Shakeology + 1/2 frozen banana + 2 tsp Peanut Butter + 1 cup unsweet almond milk + ice & Blend. I added a little coconut whipped topping (Place 1 can full fat coconut milk in the fridge overnight. The water and milk will separate. Spoon out just the milk- which has now turned to cream. It can be whipped or eaten as is. I whipped mine and added a dash of vanilla extract and stevia).

PB Mocha Frap: Chocolate Shakeology + 1 cup cooled strong coffee + 2 tsp PB + a dash of unsweet almond milk + 2 packets truvia or stevia (this makes it sweeter like a frap) ice & Blend.

Chocolate Covered Strawberries: Chocolate Shakeology + 1 cup frozen strawberries + 1 cup unsweet almond milk + ice & Blend.

Strawberry Banana Milkshake: Strawberry or Vanilla Shakeology + 1/2 cup frozen strawberries + 1/2 frozen banana + 1 tsp cinnamon + almond milk + ice & Blend.

Oatmeal with Chocolate Shakeology: Cook plan quick oat oatmeal in microwave or stove top. Once done cooking add 1/2 packet or scoop of Chocolate (or strawberry) Shakeology dry. Then add almond milk until oatmeal is the desired consistency.

PB Cinnamon Dulce Frap: This took a few tries to perfect… but it is: Vanilla Shakeo + 1 cup chilled coffee + 2 stevia/truvia + dash of sea salt or himalayan salt + 1/4 cup almond milk + ice & Blend. If that PB lover inside of you is screaming out… add 2 tsp PB and OMG YUM!
